11 June 2007 Chan Chan to Lima to Santiago and tonight off to Patagonia

Visited some pre-columbian desert ruins near Trujillo called Chan Chan the other day, pretty interesting to see ruins other than the Incas. The top picture is of me posing like ¨the Rhino (aka scratcher)¨ on top of the ruins of Chan Chan over looking the city of Trujillo and abit of the mountains/desert.
I´ve also been busy organising a trip to Southern Patagonia aboard a cargo ferry that goes through the Beagle Channel from Punta Arenas to Puerto Williams (about as close to Cape Horn as you can get) check it out: http://www.tabsa.cl/Eng/Html/PuertoWilliams.php
Had a few dramas booking it all due to the communication barrier but its all worked out now so hopefully it will be smooth sailing until we get back to Santiago for snowboarding on the 18th of June.
Had a great Chilean counter meal (pork and potato mash washed down with wine and whisky) with scratcher, pils and Yasmin last night (yes, thats me doing my best Guy Sebastian impèrsonation at the dinner table)
Stay tuned for some no-doubt, cracking shots of ice and stuff from deep southern Patagonia.

Hi Ed,
Great to hear more news from you. Sounds like you are having a great time visiting all these great places and meeting lots of new friends. You look great although you could do with a shave. Anyway, enjoy your trip to Patagonia and look forward to hearing more of your adventures. Take care.
